New British Designer Creates Dressing Gown Dreams - SoffiaB Launches Winter 2012/13 Fine Robes & Dressing Gowns Daphne Collection.
16 November 2012 - SoffiaB – a little luxury in the bedroom – are pleased to announce their first winter collection of robes and dressing gowns. Made of printed silk charmeuse, silk velvet accents and lined with über soft flannel, these robes exude luxury without compromising comfort.
How are they different?
These are no ordinary fluffy toweling spa robes or itzy bitzy lacy confections. SoffiaB’s robes are designed to make a woman look gorgeous and feel fabulous. Each unique robe is made from silk charmeuse that is printed with vibrant design inspired patterns, complimented by luxe silk velvet collars and cuffs and each gown is lined with softest cotton flannel aimed at addressing style and comfort.

Sophie Burkart, designer and founder was frustrated by the lack of dressing gowns on both sides of the pond. Where were the robes that made a woman look stylish and sexy, yet were also comfortable to wear? After some years of purchasing countless robes, she opted to pursue her own creation and hence SoffiaB was born. She found herself looking at her own curtains and cushions seeing bolder patterns with complimentary accents and decided to take this aesthetic to the dressing gowns.
She contacted well-regarded design consultant Boaz David to assist her in the production of her line. Sophie says “ without Boaz it would have been a million times harder and I probably wouldn’t have launched this year”. Production is out of New York’s Garment district, being made in the USA is one of the brand’s values. She also engaged with Jane Hamill, a respected fashion industry consultant.
“SoffiaB is the ultimate in luxury yet wearable bedroom sophistication and I wanted to create something that shows women can have it all” she says with a wink “look gorgeous, feel fabulous”.
