Six At Six MKleinman Artistry
Today’s Six At Six Sleep Series we interview Maggie Paridon (nee Kleinman), Founder MKleinmanartistry.com our talented and super lovely makeup artist & stylist who we’ve engaged on nearly every SoffiaB photoshoot.
As a relative newby to this industry Maggie has been wonderful in just “doing it” being able to decipher the look I am envisioning and running with it, not afraid to offer suggestions and just getting on with it.
Each time we work together I think “I really must have her show me ….” etc etc and then the thought gets lost. Which is a shame as I like to look my best self as much as anybody, even if I’ll never be model-like!
-
How do you feel about sleep?
- LOVE IT
- My husband says I sleep too much (8-10 hours per night)
- Love the “early to bed, early to rise” saying
- What or where was your worst night’s sleep ever?
My worst night of sleep ever was actually recently on a flight home from Iceland. I have a terrible time sleeping on planes and can always find 50 different uncomfortable ways to try to sleep on a plane.
- What or where was your BEST night’s sleep ever?
Hard to say, honestly! I am so lucky when my head hits the pillow, I’m out cold! Most nights are great!
- Do you have a sleep ritual?
Since I’m a Makeup Artist, I take extra great care of my skin, so my skin care routine comes first, then brushing my teeth, then hopping into bed! I’m guilty that I still sleep with a stuffed animal my now husband got me when we first started dating, a little lamb called chops.
- What’s the one thing you do to get a good night’s sleep?
Honestly just get into bed..like I said I’m pretty lucky in this department!
- Can you reveal what you wear in bed? (that’s ok if you’re a bit bashful, it’s not mandatory)
Undies only! No top
Thank you Maggie! Chops, is that the most brilliant name or what!?! A good skincare regime we completely agree!! This was something our Mother instilled in us too and I am hoping it will pay dividends soon, very soon in fact.

P.S. I am also thrilled to learn that Maggie also does styling wardrobe consulting as well as makeup and beauty, although I am terrified she'd make me part with all the clothes I only wear once a year .... gulp!
