Pumpkin Spice

Did you know that I toyed with the idea of calling the business PumpkinB?

But then I thought it sounded more like a children's clothing line than a line of luxury silk robes and dressing gowns. Plus of course it does have the Autumnal connotations.

Which brings me to the title of this post - Happy Labor Day by the way which for us Stateside, is Monday and I believe heralds the end of Summer officially. No more white shoes or jeans and suddenly Pumpkin Spiced Lattes are everywhere!

Hmmmn I'm not one for Pumpkin Spice anywhere in particular to be honest and it always seems so strange to me, given we would go on summer hols at the end of September. I remember a wonderful 14 days of doing very little in a gorgeous Villa in Southern Spain en famille, which took us out until the 26 September or something. And trust me it was very sweater weather in the UK by that point!

My point is whilst it's nice to greet the new season with open arms and posibility, let's not rush or wish our lives away, because my goodness life can seem so short! I could have even shown our Sugar & Spice dressing gown which is heavenly and gives all the richness of the season - but we have plenty of time for that! The picture I've shown is the hibiscus flowering beautifully in the garden - now if ever there was a sun, sea and sand flower, it's hibiscus :-)

So happy Labor Day (see how I've spelt it the American way lovelies) to us all Stateside and to the UK listeners, stop grumbling you were feeling smugly last Monday with your Bank Holiday!
